Comprehensive

Dr. Valone specializes in providing individualized, personalized, and discriminating care. When he accepts patients into his practice, Dr. Valone assures that each person’s psychological, emotional, psychiatric, and medical needs are comprehensively assessed and addressed with the utmost concern. Patients are given his personal cell phone number for after hours and weekend emergency access, are offered same or next day appointments whenever possible if an emergency arises, and are ensured the highest level of care across all treatment settings.

CUSTOMIZED

Dr. Valone develops a customized treatment plan for each patient that includes individually tailored psychotherapy based on the patient’s unique psychological issues and diagnosis. Specific types of assessment may be indicated with new patients, such as specialized psychodiagnostic assessment, psychological testing, or in some cases, neuropsychological assessment, to assist in developing a comprehensive treatment plan. As a treatment plan is developed, forms of therapy other than individual therapy may also be recommended, such as marital or partner therapy, family therapy, group therapy, or psychoeducation. When additional treatment beyond the individual therapy Dr. Valone is provided is recommended, for example couples therapy, Dr. Valone will refer the patient to another associate in his group practice for the additional treatment if there is a conflict of interest.

INTEGRATED

In addition to directly providing psychological services, Dr. Valone carefully identifies treatments and services that should be provided by other professionals on his staff and in the community. At times the patient would benefit from additional treatment by another mental health professional for specialized psychological treatment such as EMDR, Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy, Family Focused Therapy, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Perhaps the patient requires medical care from a psychiatrist or another medical specialist, or assistance with legal or financial consultations. Whatever additional treatments and services may be needed, Dr. Valone coordinates treatments with his staff, or provides referrals and collaborative care with the finest professionals in the Los Angeles basin, throughout the country, and indeed throughout the world when necessary. Dr. Valone will make every effort to direct and manage the delivery of those services necessary to provide the patient with the premiere experience in thoroughly integrated, comprehensive, and customized care.
