PROFESSIONAL STAFF
Dr. Valone is the owner and Clinical Director of The Arroyos™ Psychological Associates, a California psychological corporation. The Arroyos™ Psychological Associates (TAPA) is a comprehensive psychological service providing outpatient, residential treatment, and inpatient psychological services using a treatment team approach. All TAPA Clinical Associates are licensed psychologists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), or licensed marriage and family therapists (MFT). The Arroyos™ Psychological Associates is located in the same suite of offices with Dr. Valone in Pasadena.
All TAPA Clinical Associates are credentialed to treat patients at Las Encinas Hospital and at The Villa Residential Treatment Program at Las Encinas. All TAPA Clinical Associates are specialists in treating patients with Co-occurring Disorders (dual diagnosis), and each Clinical Associate has unique specialty skills as well.
As many patients who require inpatient psychiatric care often require specialized yet highly integrated treatment by a multidisciplinary treatment team, Dr. Valone and the team of TAPA Clinical Associates will often collaborate to provide extremely comprehensive, thorough care. When Dr. Valone is the Attending Doctor, he may ask one Clinical Associate to assist him with the patient by providing adjunctive therapy such as EMDR, a second Clinical Associate to perform psychological testing, a third Clinical Associate to conduct couples therapy, and a fourth Clinical Associate to treat one of the patient’s children in individual child play therapy. Since all Clinical Associates operate out of the same office, know one another well, and are accustomed to collaborating with one another, the patient derives the benefit of seamlessly integrated care.
Such integrated care can also be created for the patient at The Villa Residential Treatment Program setting at
Las Encinas Hospital, or on an outpatient basis. By having a team of Clinical Associates who provide integrated yet specialized care, Dr. Valone is able to provide for almost any clinical condition or need that may arise.
At times the cost of treatment can become a source of stress for some patients or their family members who may be assisting financially. TAPA Clinical Associates are able to offer clinical services at a range of fees that can compliment Dr. Valone’s fee structures. If you would like to discuss financial concerns, please contact Dr. Valone at (626) 405-9066 for further information.
As mentioned above all Clinical Associates are specialists in treating patients with Co-occurring Disorders, that is, patients with a psychiatric disorder such as depression or bipolar disorder, an anxiety disorder, a personality disorder, or any other psychiatric condition; and who also have one or more substance use disorders. In addition to sharing a specialty in Dual Diagnosis with Dr. Valone and their fellow Clinical Associates, each Clinical Associate has additional specialty skills, as described below.
